About the Role:

As aย Senior Food Scientistย atย Feastables, you will play a crucial role in the development and commercialization of innovative and high-quality food products. Reporting to the Director of Product R&D, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain, to deliver seamless integration of product formulations into our product launches and supply chain processes.ย 

We're looking for an expert with strong confectionery technical and CPG commercialization experience, best in class communication skills, and a passion for delivering quality through collaboration. Candidates should have experience navigating ambiguity and are prepared to help drive clarity around innovation projects to drive them to technical execution.ย 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement innovative food product formulations that enhance customer experiences, and align with Feastables' brand values
  • Lead product commercialization from idea to market, working crossfunctionally as a Technical Leader and product expertย 
  • Development and implementation of product specifications, standards, and guidelines in conjunction with FSQA partners
  • Work cross-functionally on rapid consumer test product needs, leadย  rapid internal prototype development and sample productionย 
  • Manage product trials and first productions on site at comanufacturers, with the need to travel- capturing all formulations and process flows
  • Independently manage relationships with co-manufacturers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials
  • Process-Oriented problem solving and awareness to mitigate risks for product commercialization including across co-man networks and variable equipment lines

Recipe for Success:

  • 6+ years of experience in food science roles, preferably in Confectionery CPG
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful food product formulations with a strong focus on commercialization
  • Hands on Experience working with confectionery materials and creating prototypes at lab scale
  • Preference for Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of food product development, commercialization processes, and testing methodologies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Experience working in ambiguity with a talent for driving to clarityย 
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Travel Expectations: approximately 25% with some internationalย 
  • Prior startup experience is a plus
