Job description

West Palm Beach, FL
Workplace Type: Office
Employment Type: Salaried
Discover a more connected career
Dycom Industries is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented professional to join the OneERP program team as we roll out SAP S/4HANA across our Operating Companies. This role sits at the intersection of accounting/finance and systems - the ideal candidate has a strong analytical foundation from a Big 4 or large firm background (audit, advisory, ITGC, or systems implementation) and is comfortable learning new technical skills quickly.
No prior SAP experience is required - we will train the right candidate on SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) processes. What matters most is a sharp mind, strong accounting/financial acumen (or the ability to bridge technical and financial concepts), and the maturity to work directly with Operating Company stakeholders and our implementation partner (Deloitte).
This is not a purely technical or purely process role - the person must be able to move fluidly between financial logic, business process, and systems detail, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
Connecting you to great benefits
  • Weekly Paychecks
  • Paid Time Off, Parental Leave, and Holidays
  • Insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance)
  • 401(k) w/ Company Match
  • Stock Purchase Plan
  • Education Reimbursement
  • Legal Insurance
  • Discounts on gym memberships, pet insurance, and much more!

What you'll do
  • Serve as a liaison between Operating Companies and the implementation partner (Deloitte) during SAP S/4HANA design, build, and testing phases
  • Triage, track, and help resolve system defects - translating technical issues into business impact and vice versa
  • Support end-user training efforts for Operating Company teams, including creating/reviewing training materials and leading or co-leading sessions
  • Perform data reconciliation between legacy and S/4HANA systems (e.g., WIP, financial data, master data) to validate conversion accuracy
  • Learn and apply SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) functionality as it relates to Operating Company processes
  • Partner with finance/accounting teams to ensure new system processes align with proper accounting treatment and controls
  • Document business processes, defects, and decisions clearly for both technical and executive audiences
  • Identify control gaps or risks during implementation, drawing on ITGC/controls experience where applicable

What you'll need
  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience at a Big 4 (or similar large accounting/consulting/advisory) firm - audit, advisory, ITGC, risk/controls, or systems implementation practice
  • Strong accounting and financial acumen - able to understand journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement impact
  • If coming from a systems/technical background: demonstrated knowledge of financial/accounting concepts (not purely technical)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to and working directly with business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and work across multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Willingness and ability to travel ~10% to Operating Company and partner locations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior exposure to SAP (any module) or another major ERP system
  • ITGC (IT General Controls) audit or testing experience
  • Experience with system implementations, UAT, or data conversion/reconciliation efforts
  • CPA, CPA candidate, or equivalent certification

Physical abilities & exposures
  • Routinely: Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods
  • Occasionally: Travel domestically up to 10% to attend team meetings or training
