Summary:
The Meaningful Use/Quality Measures Data Coordinator's chief responsibility is to collect and submit reliable data to the Premier Quality Advisor database for distribution to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), The Joint Commission (TJC), American Osteopathic Association (AOA), and other certification agencies. Additionally, the Meaningful Use/Quality Measures Data Coordinator (MU/QM Data Coordinator) validates 100% of data elements abstracted electronically by Siemens SQM tool, and completes all missing data fields by reviewing all medical records, identifying data, and submitting it through the SQM tool. This is accomplished through high-quality clinical screening, data compilation, and entry into the Siemens SQM database. The MU/QM Coordinator works closely with the Quality manager, auditors, and members of Information Technology and Clinical Informatics.
Due to the critical nature of this position, personal characteristics must include attention to detail, high degree of concentration, flexibility, ability to work independently, possess strong communication skills and written communication must be legible. In addition, the ability to work under stressful situations, handle conflict, and work with a high degree of accuracy and quality is imperative. Strict confidentiality, sound judgment, and organizational skills are critical. Quality audit expectations and productivity standards will be enforced.
Requirements:
Visual acuity (correctable) which would be sufficient to work with standard print and computer screens is required. Hearing (correctable) and speech components must be within normal limits. The person in this position should be a good listener and able to concentrate under high pressure demands. Activities include sitting (95%), and walking (5%). Occasionally light to medium heavy materials may be handled, with greater than medium materials possibly requiring knowledge in use of the appropriate equipment.
