Job Description

Our data team has expertise across engineering, analysis, architecture, modeling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science. This discipline is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights, building robust data infrastructures, and enabling data-driven decision-making and innovation through advanced analytics and predictive modeling. 

In this role, you will work closely with technical leads, fellow developers, our client solutions team, and client stakeholders. You will be part of agile/scrum ceremonies and will work as a contributor within these ceremonies.

Our data architects are strong consultants, who are just as comfortable talking through solutions with clients as they are at coding. As a Data Architect you must value collaboration and working cross functionally to make the greatest impact for our clients and fellow team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements
  • Help translate business requirements into technical specifications for data consumption and use
  • Provide guidance on appropriate data platform(s) (repository, database, etc.) to meet requirements
  • Accurately map data attributes between different domain models
  • Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, data models and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow
  • Help deploy and troubleshoot application data pipelines across various architectural environments that will vary by client from legacy to modern including application servers, queues, API gateways, databases, etc. or cloud-based equivalents
Qualifications

Typically has 5+ years of experience with varied technical experience in designing/developing data pipelines and data stores

  • Demonstrated experience designing data architecture(s) for Business Intelligence/Analytical usage
  • Understanding of data modeling and data mapping
  • Experience with Data Warehouse and Data Mart
  • Experience with TFS, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SSIS, Power BI
  • Extensive experience with SQL
  • Extensive experience with relational and non-relational database technologies (Oracle, MS SQL Server, GraphQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, PostgresSQL, Redis, ElastiCache, etc).
  • Experience in ETL (AWS Glue, Azure DataFactory, Apache NiFi, etc)
  • Experience with a variety of data systems and performance tuning approaches
  • Knowledge of a variety of architectural principles like hub and spoke, bus, event driven software architectures, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Data Science technology stacks
  • Working knowledge of BI data analytical products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
