Logistics Analytics Specialist - Transportation Optimization

Vertiv | Americas Region

Position Summary

Are you a data-driven problem solver who enjoys turning complex data into meaningful business insights? Vertiv is seeking a Logistics Analytics Specialist to support transportation optimization across the Americas region.

This role sits within Logistics and focuses on analyzing transportation data, building reporting solutions, improving visibility, and supporting data-driven decisions that enhance carrier performance, cost, service, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is passionate about analytics and excited to apply those skills to real-world supply chain challenges.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze large transportation datasets including freight spend, carrier performance, service levels, capacity, and transit metrics.
  • Build dashboards, KPI reporting, and data visualizations using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and other analytics tools.
  • Translate logistics data into actionable insights that improve transportation performance and decision-making.
  • Support Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) optimization through analytics, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Identify data quality issues, trends, and opportunities to improve processes and operational visibility.
  • Partner with Logistics, Procurement, Operations, Master Data, carriers, and logistics providers to support continuous improvement.
  • Support transportation reporting, process improvements, documentation, and TMS data accuracy.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in analytics, supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related field.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Ability to work with large datasets, identify trends, and communicate insights.
  • Strong analytical mindset with curiosity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Interest in applying analytics to improve transportation and supply chain performance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with logistics, transportation, freight, or supply chain analytics.
  • Experience with domestic or international transportation data.
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms, process mapping, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.

Travel: Approximately 10%
