Overview
Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a major national laboratory.
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our development team responsible for building and operating custom and commercial software solutions for a large user base. The ideal candidate will have expertise in server administration, container orchestration (OpenShift, Kubernetes), backend development with .NET, database management, API development, and frontend frameworks such as Angular. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient software delivery.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer server infrastructure supporting development and production environments.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with backend and frontend developers to build robust APIs and user interfaces.
  • Design and optimize databases to support application needs.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Drive DevOps best practices to improve software delivery speed and reliability.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.

Qualifications
  • BS in relevant discipline plus minimum 3 years or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
