Role Overview
A Senior Application Developer is needed to understand business requirements, update application code with unit testing, and provide development support. This role involves creating proofs of concept for new technology evaluations, supporting application deployment, and developing production plans. The developer will work within an agile team and may have opportunities for client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Understand business needs and update application code accordingly.
  • Perform unit testing to ensure code quality.
  • Provide development support during testing phases.
  • Create proofs of concept for new technology evaluation.
  • Support application deployment processes.
  • Create and manage production implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with a team lead and other members in an agile environment.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies is required.
Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of container and cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, and Azure.
  • Expertise in Java/J2EE technologies.
  • Familiarity with Spring, Spring Integration, Cassandra, Kafka, MQ, NoSQL, and Restful services.
  • Knowledge of WS-Security.
  • Experience with tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ, Splunk, Dynatrace, and Autosys.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for Oracle/SQL Server.
  • Ability to write complex Unix/Linux scripts.
  • Experience with UI technologies like Angular and React.
  • Familiarity with code quality tools such as JUnit and Sonar/Crucible.
  • Experience with modern development methodologies, including Agile.
