Job description

Dental Hygienist - Family First Healthย is seeking a full-time or part-time Dental Hygienist for our Springwood Road location in York County. We offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits (including PTO, 403(b), health and vision insurance, paid holidays, continuing education allowance) and potential loan repayment through the NHSC. No weekend hours are required. Our team enjoys the advantages of a large healthcare organization with the clinical feel of a group practice.

This position is an excellent career opportunity to join a dedicated team of Dentists, Hygienists, and Dental Residents. We are committed to providing trustworthy, high-quality clinical care in a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide the full scope of dental hygiene care.
  • Offer professional feedback and insight regarding patient care, departmental policies, and organizational procedures as requested.
  • Facilitate, contribute to, and report on activities related to patient care.
  • Organize and ensure continuity of care based on patient needs.
  • Accurately and thoroughly document patient visits and treatment plans.
  • Guide dental assistants as needed and participate in the training of auxiliary dental staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIESย 

  • Graduation from an accredited dental school and a valid license to practice dentistry in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Ability to convey information effectively and in a caring and supportive manner with individuals of all backgrounds.
  • Ability toย use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Customer service oriented โ€“ ability to focus on patient care and outcomes.
