Lead Creative Designer
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand and Product Marketing, the Lead Creative Designer plays a critical role in elevating TruGreen's brand through high-quality, performance-driven creative. This role operates as the creative execution arm of the marketing department, bringing a balance of strong hands-on design expertise and thought leadership - thinking beyond the brief and approaching problems from multiple angles. Responsible for executing compelling design across marketing channels while also providing strategic creative recommendations that align with brand standards, campaign objectives, and business goals.
Creative Leadership:
Lead the conceptualization and end-to-end execution of high-quality creative across digital, print, social, CRM, and paid media channels. Translate briefs, brand guidelines, and campaign strategies into cohesive, on-brand creative solutions while balancing creative innovation with practical execution, timelines, and business needs. Own multiple projects from concept through final delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
Brand Stewardship:
Act as a visual brand steward by maintaining and evolving TruGreen's identity and design systems to ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints, while keeping creative fresh, relevant, and differentiated through a strong understanding of design trends and market dynamics.
Performance Optimization:
Applies a performance-first mindset to all creative, leveraging data, analytics, and audience insights to optimize for clarity, engagement, and conversion. Owns creative performance outcomes across campaigns, with clear accountability for how creative contributes to overall marketing effectiveness. Partners closely with Marketing and Analytics teams to evaluate results, define and lead A/B testing strategies with clear hypotheses, and translate insights into continuous optimization, actionable enhancements, and scalable creative best practices.
AI Integration:
Embrace and integrate AI-driven tools and emerging technologies to increase design efficiencies, streamline workflows, and maintain a competitive edge.
Strategic Collaboration:
Partner with internal marketing teams and agency partners to shape campaign concepts that resonate with target audiences and align with business goals. Provide thoughtful recommendations on creative approaches based on campaign objectives, channel best practices, and audience insights, contributing actively to campaign ideation and development.
Stakeholder Alignment:
Present creative concepts and rationale clearly and confidently to stakeholders, articulating how design decisions connect to business impact and project objectives. Develop polished presentations that effectively communicate ideas and build alignment across teams.
Process Excellence:
Owns and evolves design systems and scalable creative frameworks to drive consistency, efficiency, and quality across all channels. Develops modular, performance-driven approaches that enable rapid iteration and adaptation, while establishing standardized templates, workflows, and best practices to improve speed and scalability.
Proactively influences briefs, campaign development, and channel strategies to ensure creative is aligned to business objectives and optimized for performance from the outset. Connects creative decisions to measurable business impact, prioritizing high-value initiatives that drive engagement, conversion, and overall marketing effectiveness.
Champions creative innovation by exploring new formats, channels, and emerging trends, continuously evolving approaches to keep the brand fresh, differentiated, and competitive.
Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing multi-channel performance marketing. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality work in fast-paced environments.
Technical Mastery: Advanced understanding of design fundamentals, including typography, layout, color, and composition.
Adaptability: Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Familiarity with data-driven creative optimization, including A/B testing and campaign performance insights.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in performance marketing, direct-to-consumer (D2C), or home services industries is preferred.
Collaboration & Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly, provide constructive feedback, and build alignment across internal teams, external agencies, and production partners.
Specialized Skills: Proficiency in motion graphics, video, UX design, or other digital capabilities is a plus.
Additional Information
A portfolio is required for consideration. Please include examples that demonstrate a balance of creative execution and strategic thinking.
Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English is required.

Pay Ranges
$79,175.00 - $131,958.00
This range is based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer benefits, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance and Company-matching 401(k) in addition to other programs and perks.
