Job description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Digital Print Operator reports directly to the Sr. Director of Digital Operations at the Fort Lawn location. This skilled, detail-oriented position is responsible for operating and maintaining wide-format and narrow-format digital printing equipment to produce high-quality printed products that meet customer and production specifications.

The Digital Print Operator plays a key role in ensuring color accuracy, print consistency, and overall production efficiency while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires strong technical knowledge of digital printing processes, color management, print file preparation, and substrate handling.


Responsibilities / Duties:

·        Operate and maintain narrow and wide-format digital printers ( Reggiani, HP 3600, JP4, etc.)

·        Prepare and load digital files for printing according to job specifications.

·        Calibrate printers and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

·        Conduct quality checks to ensure accurate color matching, alignment, and print resolution.

·        Maintain clean and organized workstations and follow all safety protocols.

·        Collaborate with design and production teams to meet project deadlines.

·        Handle custom print jobs, including specialty substrates like paper, cotton, etc.)

·        Maintain accurate production records and inventory levels of inks, media, and supplies.

·        Perform routine maintenance


QUALIFICATIONS:

·        High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Textile Design, Graphic Design, Color

Technology, or a related field preferred

·        Previous experience operating digital printing equipment (Preferred)

·        Understanding of heat press procedures (Preferred)

·        Familiarity with RIP software and print file setup

·        Understanding color management, print resolution, and substrate handling.

·        Ability to work with precision, ensuring high-quality results.

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with teams.

·        Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods, with the ability to bend, squat, and perform

other physical tasks as needed.
