Primary Mission:
At Royal Sun, our mission is to maintain the seamless harmony of our desert retreat by ensuring that every mechanical system and hotel asset is running smoothly and efficiently. Through proactive and mindful maintenance, you will contribute to an environment where guests can experience both comfort and serenity. You will ensure that all systems—whether mechanical, electrical, or plumbing—operate in line with Royal Sun’s high standards, fostering an experience of maximum guest satisfaction.

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Respond to guest requests with grace and efficiency, ensuring a tranquil experience.
  • Handle maintenance-related inquiries swiftly, preserving the calm atmosphere of the retreat.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and guest rooms.
  • Maintain rooms and public spaces, ensuring every area is functional and serene.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of hotel lobbies, public areas, and exterior grounds.
  • Maintain pools, spas, and laundry facilities with attention to safety and detail.
  • Perform routine checks and repairs, keeping hotel equipment in optimal working condition.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring smooth hotel operations.
  • Respond swiftly to emergencies, following protocols to keep guests and staff safe.
  • Conduct regular property rounds and report any unsafe conditions to the General Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, repairs, and inventory levels.
  • Log details of parts used and ensure replacement parts are ordered when necessary.
  • Handle master keys responsibly, ensuring the security of the hotel.
  • Keep work areas organized and clean, providing a safe and efficient environment for the team.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior Experience:
    • 2+ minimum experience in building maintenance
    • Must have special skills and experience in a construction trade such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC.
    • Must have skills and ability to handle building mechanical systems and controls, electrical systems, energy management, interior finishes and products.
    •  
  • IT Expertise:
    • Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office, outlook) and web analytics tools is preferred.
  • Education:
    • High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • Subject Expertise:
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.
    • Set up machine and make name tags and signs.
    • Assist with maintenance of parking lot and snow removal as needed.
    • Make keys as requested
    • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

OTHER EXPECTATIONS:

  • Abide by payroll policies, procedures and rules of conduct as stated in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.
  • Travel required: As needed for hotel familiarization, content creation shoots and to meet with colleagues.
  • Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (PST), while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
