Spring Health Counseling Services is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Spring Health Counseling Services is a prominent community health clinic based in New Bedford, Massachusetts, dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care. This position is primarily remote, allowing flexibility while maintaining the support of a cohesive team. Our community health clinic employs modern telehealth technologies to facilitate effective communication with clients and interdisciplinary team members. Each day, you will have access to resources, training, and tools necessary to adapt to clients' needs, regardless of location.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health conditions, including clinical interviews and standardized assessments, to develop a deep understanding of their needs.
• Design individualized treatment plans that address specific mental health issues, ensuring that they reflect the values and preferences of the clients.
• Engage clients in effective one-on-one psychotherapy, utilizing evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to promote emotional healing.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions that encourage peer support and skill development, allowing clients to share experiences in a safe environment.
• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans and therapeutic approaches in response to their evolving needs and feedback.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client interactions and treatment outcomes, adhering to ethical standards and compliance with electronic medical records (EMRs).
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care and to address co-occurring disorders.
• Engage in regular training and development sessions to stay abreast of advancements in mental health treatments and effective counseling methodologies.

The licensed counselor will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families facing a range of mental health challenges. Clients may come from various socio-economic backgrounds and may be dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. The ideal candidate will be proficient in employing a culturally sensitive approach, acknowledging and respecting the individual backgrounds of each client.

• A Master's degree in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
• A valid state license to practice as a mental health counselor in Massachusetts is essential.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health counseling is required, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients and collaborating with team members.
• Proficiency with electronic healthcare systems and EMRs for documenting client information and tracking treatment progress.

• Experience in a community health setting, particularly in providing integrated care for clients with varying mental health conditions.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and familiarity with the social determinants of health.
• Past involvement in group therapy facilitation or workshops that foster client empowerment.

The compensation for this role ranges from $85,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a sign-on bonus, 401(k) retirement savings plan, paid time off, and paid holidays to promote work-life balance.
