Job description

Spring Meadow Nursery, Inc. is growing and looking to bring on additional help within our Construction department.

We're looking for hard working individuals to perform general construction duties at our greenhouse facility. Positions are available for immediate hire for the right individuals that are interested in growing with our company. We have opportunities for work in greenhouse projects as well as commercial and residential construction. We are looking for individuals that can work as a member of our team to complete each project on time and to company standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sustain safe and healthy work environment(s).
  • Demonstrate adequate communication and proper reporting.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure time sensitive and integral project completion.
  • Ensure facilities and critical structures are operational and in good working condition.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance measures.
  • Partner with Leadership to promote and drive continued positive culture.
  • Assist with jobsite set-up and clean-up activities.
  • Learn, follow, and promote all organizational standards and regulations.

Additional Responsibilities:

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Basic hand tool and power tool experience.
  • Some construction experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Safety training related to construction trades.
  • Must be able to work from elevated platforms, ladders, or structures.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Must demonstrate good communications and interaction skills.
  • Must be accurate, detailed, reliable and able to follow orders on projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Must have ability to be proactive and trouble shoot.
  • Construction Experience preferred but not required.
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
Performance Requirements:
  • Must maintain a level of performance equivalent to company standards, that being a “Meets Expectations” in all areas of your performance evaluations (Self and Management reviews).
