Spring Mountain Counseling Services is seeking a skilled and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Spring Mountain Counseling Services, you will:

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments, reviewing clients' personal trauma histories and current mental health symptoms to guide treatment planning.
• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on fostering recovery and resilience together with the patient.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that support clients in processing their trauma and cultivating effective coping strategies.
• Work in concert with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to deliver integrated, holistic care to our clients, ensuring comprehensive support.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed, offering essential support during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping techniques, and available resources to enhance their understanding and recovery journey.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential service documentation in compliance with established legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings that prioritize trauma-informed care while contributing to the continuous development of our clinical practices.
• Stay current with research and best practices in trauma therapy, implementing new insights into your therapeutic work.

In this role, you will primarily support individuals who have experienced trauma, focusing on those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your work will have a profound impact on patients who often face unique challenges in their mental health journey, requiring a sensitive, informed approach to treatment.

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies specifically geared towards trauma recovery.
• Compassionate interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a non-judgmental and supportive attitude in all patient interactions.
• The ability to navigate high-stress situations with composure and empathy.

Ideal candidates will have:

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience within a clinical mental health setting, particularly focusing on trauma-related cases.
• Demonstrable experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions and an unwavering commitment to patient care.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other necessary technologies to document patient interactions seamlessly.
• An ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
