Engineering Intern

Based in College Station, Texas, CardioQuip's Engineering Intern will collaborate with our product development and quality engineering teams, and assist in the research and development of both new and existing products. In addition, under the supervision of an R&D Engineer, interns will also contribute in the design, development, and management of our design and development process, which will include developing quality-assurance and design principles that are compliant and conform to 21 CFR 820, MDD/MDR, and ISO 13485:2016.

Responsibilities

Under direction, Engineering Interns shall:

  • Assist engineering in the design and development of product(s)
  • Assist the engineering team in the design, development, and management of our Design and Development process
  • Assist in the transfer of CardioQuip products and prototypes to manufacturing
  • Ensure that our current and future processes are compliant and conform to 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485:2016
  • Prepare and conduct design reviews
  • Become familiar with Regulatory and FDA submission paperwork in support of product development
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Applicant is pursuing a Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in relevant engineering field, OR applicant is within two years of graduating with a Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in a relevant engineering field
  • Minimum GPA Requirement: 3.25/4.0
  • Applicant has completed at least 2 semesters in relevant engineering courses
  • Semester interns must commit at least 20 hrs/week, summer interns must commit 40 hrs/week

Spring Interns: full and part-time R&D and Quality Engineering positions available from January to May. Apply between July 2nd and November 1st.

Summer Interns: full-time R&D and Quality Engineering positions available from May to August. Apply between November 2nd and March 1st.

Fall Interns: full and part-time R&D and Quality Engineering positions available from August to December. Apply between February 2nd and June 1st.
