What You'll Do

You will be instrumental in forecasting and purchasing strategies, focusing specifically on the unique trends and demands of the footwear market. Collaborating cross-functionally with commercial and sales teams, you will craft and refine demand plans that not only propel sales but also align closely with market movements specific to footwear and consumer behavior. Your expertise will ensure optimal inventory levels, preventing overstock scenarios while meeting our financial objectives.
In this role, you will also take the lead in securing the necessary inventory from suppliers, ensuring that our product lines - from everyday wear to high-performance athletic shoes - are well-positioned to meet our diverse customer needs. This will involve a close examination of supply chain processes, identifying areas for efficiency gains specific to the footwear industry, and contributing to a sustainable model that supports the company's growth and market presence.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage Supply/Demand Review in monthly S&OP cycle
  • Prepare and present the demand scorecard. Develop and maintain complex forecasting models that reflect industry trends and demand patterns to support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance and coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances, ensuring high accuracy in demand forecasting. Review the rolling 12 month demand plans and evaluate vs financial targets.
  • Identify and mitigate existing service or financial risks to demand plan
  • Confirm new products and those at end-of-life
  • Work with the Product Management and Commercial teams to understand the product range, financial targets, and sales strategies
  • Develop A/B/C product approach to planning to manage risk and optimize effort
  • Review in-season sales compared to forecasts/orders and make updates based on trend and sales input
  • Supervise purchase order approvals and manage inventory positions, ensuring optimal levels that meet both production needs and financial targets
  • Communicate forecast changes and supply constraints to internal stakeholders
  • Create and manage detailed reports relating to MRP, back orders, and schedules to monitor and improve material availability and production plans
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste

What We're Looking For
This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business Administration or a related field plus 2-4 years of prior softgoods supply chain experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Other qualifications include:
  • Strong analytical skills; proven ability to analyze data and make updates/recommendations
  • Strong SAP knowledge and experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Detail oriented; excellent ability to plan and organize so that work is completed efficiently; ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other functional areas
  • Ability to translate factual data into commercial terms
  • Some travel required

What We'll Provide
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $70,000-$75,000 per year at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training. Please note that the range details reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program.
