Job Summary

Responsible for leadership of designated program operations within an specific set market and sporting specialty. Set staff culture, expectations and business procedures for specific market. Directly manage Leads Sports Academy Specialist, and Sports Academy Specialist in specific market. Direct and supervise program activities to meet academy enterprise objectives. Expand youth sports programs within the Sanford enterprise in accordance with strategic and operating plans. Manage activities of all academy skill development, scheduling of facilities, budgeting for academy, responsibility and management for training of staff and oversight of all academy coaches. Responsible for leading and managing direct report(s). Work directly with the Sport Manager to ensure the policies and procedures set by Sanford Sports Academy leadership are properly implemented. Set, monitor and implement budget for specific set market.

Must be able to lead and influence key partners inside and outside of the organization as necessary. Must be able to network and collaborate with leaders and partners at all levels in order to accomplish key goals, and deliver effective communication with leaders and staff as needed, while maintaining confidentiality as appropriate.

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations within your particular Sanford Health footprint. Respond to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner. Compile program statistics, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and participation in the program.

Assist in the marketing and distribution of youth sports program information for specific set market. May be required to organize and schedule program registrations and process program scholarship applications. Have strong administrative skills to manage academy coaches to ensure established program objectives are taught consistently throughout the academy.

Exceptional communication and organization skills are a must as it pertains to parents, athletes and administration. Able to effectively schedule practices, workouts, clinics, camps and tournaments. Strong focus on customer service and a team mentality, including active integration with strength and conditioning, sports science and Sanford Sports programs. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum of eight years skills training and/or coaching/playing experience required. High school and collegiate playing experience preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
