Job description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a coordinator that will have dual reporting lines to the Director of Mental Health & Wellness and the Director of Applied Performance Science, with distinct responsibilities in each department.

Mental Health & Wellness: This position is a key component to the daily operation of the Mental Health & Wellness department. Responsibilities include providing administrative support, customer service, assisting with workflows, and maintaining electronic health records and data. Student athlete wellness, organizational skills, and confidentiality are core pillars for this position.

Applied Performance Science: This position provides key cross-functional communication and collaboration to initiatives within in the team and/or department. Responsibilities include assisting with, maintaining, and monitoring performance analyses and reports and ensuring appropriate safety protocols/techniques are followed during testing.

This position requires the incumbent to gain and maintain working knowledge of policies, procedures, rules, and regulations related to patient/client confidentiality; to handle protected health information (PHI) of patients/clients in accordance with UAA, federal, and state regulations; have and maintain working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and similar programs; have strong administrative, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills; be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated; work independently and as part of a collaborative team; multitask effectively; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds; and work a non-standard work week which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate area of specialization
  • Experience working in a medical clinic and using an electronic health record system

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masterโ€™s Degree in Health Sciences or a related field
  • Knowledgeable of Health and Performance Sciences
