Job description


KLKN-TV in Lincoln, Nebraska, the home of the Cornhuskers, is looking for a Sports Director who can authentically deliver sports stories. You know how to tell stories visually and can complete active, engaging live shots. Give our viewers the story behind and beyond the game. You will write and edit scripts with conversational tone. You are versatile, enterprising, who is fast, efficient, works well under broadcast television deadlines, can develop sources, and has excellent live anchoring skills.
Responsibilities

  • Anchor sportscasts & report on local sports teams
  • Have an active presence on social media that engages the audience in a conversation
  • Deliver scripted and ad-lib material, including sports highlights, with polish and personality
  • Work with producers in newscast production
  • Summarize information into easy-to-understand components
