Job description

Requires an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and acceptance into a graduate studies program at Franklin Pierce University (acceptance must be confirmed before the candidate is considered).
Franklin Pierce University is actively seeking qualified candidates for a Graduate Assistant (GA) position in Sports Information. This two-year position offers valuable experience, including tuition remission and an annual stipend of $8,000. Please note that housing is not included, and acceptance is contingent upon successful admission to the Universityโ€™s Graduate School.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Serve as media contact for specific assigned sports.
  • Generate press releases, event recaps, feature stories, and related content.
  • Develop, monitor and maintain a consistent social media presence.
  • Maintain team information and content on websites and physical archives.
  • Produce publications, including record books, game programs, etc.
  • Arrange and/or perform game day responsibilities such as public address, clock management, scoreboard operations, music, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
  • Experience with website content management systems (SIDEARM, PrestoSports)
  • General knowledge of statistical software (PrestoSports, StatCrew, NCAA Live Stats)
  • Experience in sports photography, videography and editing
