Job Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate: $16.00/Hour
Hours: Seasonal part-time position including varying shifts and hours including days (8am-4pm) and weekends as needed. 15-30 hours/week.
Job Description
The parks and recreation department are looking for part-time/seasonal employees to assist with the maintenance of sports facilities.
Sport Facility Maintenance (8am-4pm, weekends as needed)
โ€ข Ensure baseball and softball fields are properly prepared for nightly games and tournaments including dragging the fields and lining the fields, making sure the bases and pitchers' mounds are at the correct distances, and maintaining fields after rain or poor weather.
โ€ข Inspecting all sports facilities for damage or safety hazards and approving them for safe use before rentals and city run sports leagues.
โ€ข Setting up any necessary equipment at all facilities before activities, such as setting up volleyball nets in gyms before nightly volleyball leagues, lowering basketball nets for youth basketball clinics, setting up pickleball nets for ladder leagues and lessons, etc.
โ€ข Providing general upkeep and inventory of sports equipment and facilities and assisting with repairs when needed.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license. Must also obtain standard CPR and First Aid (certification upon appointment).
Driving record must meet city's standards for insurability.
