SPORTS COACH - Allison Sports Town

STATUS: PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

Allison Sports Town Complex is an indoor/outdoor venue that spans 82 acres, nestled near Deer Lake Golf Club. Our premier sports complex offers 12 outdoor professionally maintained sports fields, including 4 turf fields that allow for all weather play. A 94,000 sq. ft. indoor facility is home to four high school regulation basketball courts as well as two indoor soccer fields Indoor and outdoor concessions are available as well as spaces for parties and meetings in our versatile indoor venue.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Lil Kickers Coach you will provide fun, friendly, and structured weekly classes for children ages 18 months - 12 years You will be responsible for leading kids through different soccer activities and games that promote each child's development, while providing a safe and creative learning environment.

Coaches need to be professional, great communicators, organized, able to manage kids' behaviors, team players, enthusiastic, energetic, and of course, FUN!

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Attend community events and assist in administrative tasks when necessary
  • Greet customers, welcome participants and deliver an amazing on-field experience each week
  • Communicate before and after classes with parents about child's progress
  • Adhere to safety guidelines outlined or Lil Kickers programming
  • Be a Lil Kickers brand ambassador during customer interaction and service
  • Follow weekly agenda
  • Continue coaches training throughout the seasons as directed
  • All additional duties assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, predominately after-school and weekends
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have excellent leadership and motivational skills
  • Must possess current CPR/FIRST AID certifications, or willingness to obtain within a specified period
  • Neat in appearance and professional in manner
  • Strong knowledge of sports coach rules, techniques, and strategies
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Passion for sports and athlete development

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to move or lift lightweight equipment (goals into place, etc.)
  • Position requires standing and activity for extended periods of time (in sometimes inclement weather), squatting, stooping, jogging, sprinting, or bending into awkward positions while performing job functions
