Job description

As the Artificial Intelligence, Automation, and Business Intelligence Leader for the Pressure Management business unit, you will lead the strategy, governance, and execution of AI, automation, and business intelligence initiatives that drive operational excellence, business growth, and an enhanced customer experience. This role is responsible for building and leading a high-performing team while partnering with business leaders to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, and deliver scalable solutions that create measurable business value.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop and execute the business unit's Artificial Intelligence, Automation, and Business Intelligence strategy, roadmap, and governance framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable return on investment.

  • Partner with executive and functional leaders to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact AI, automation, and analytics initiatives that improve business performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

  • Lead the design, implementation, and adoption of scalable AI, intelligent automation, and business intelligence solutions, guiding initiatives from concept through production deployment and ongoing optimization.

  • Support the Emerson standards for responsible AI, data governance, model risk management, cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory compliance while ensuring alignment with Emerson technology strategies and platforms.

  • Drive a data-driven culture by advancing self-service analytics, defining key business metrics, and enabling actionable insights through reporting, visualization, and data storytelling capabilities.

  • Build, develop, and lead a global team of AI, Automation, and Business Intelligence professionals, including direct employees, contractors, and offshore resources, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

  • Monitor emerging technologies, industry best practices, and market trends to identify opportunities that accelerate digital transformation and create sustainable competitive advantage.

Who You Are

You set objectives that align with broader organizational goals and translate them into actionable initiatives with clear priorities and milestones. You apply knowledge of business drivers, technology trends, and customer needs to guide decisions that advance organizational performance. You keep up to date with rapidly changing AI technologies and how they can be applied to our business. You make sound decisions even when information is incomplete, balancing analysis, experience, and judgment to move initiatives forward. You effectively navigate ambiguity, build collaborative partnerships across functions, and consistently deliver results that create value for customers and the business.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Ten or more years of progressive experience leading technology, digital transformation, engineering, analytics, automation, or related initiatives within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing enterprise AI, automation, analytics, or digital transformation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, including machine learning, generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), large language models, and intelligent automation technologies.
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused recommendations and outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, including occasional international travel.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology, including in the rapidly evolving Artificial Intelligence field.
  • Experience implementing AI, automation, business intelligence, or software solutions within manufacturing, supply chain, order management, purchasing, or industrial operations environments.
  • Experience establishing governance frameworks, technology standards, and risk management practices for digital solutions.
  • Understanding of Emerson and Pressure Management Business Unit order related processes, product lines, functional organizations, world areas, sales channels, customers, and business needs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and modern business intelligence platforms.
  • Understanding of SQL, data modeling, and database management systems.
  • Track record of delivering measurable business value, productivity improvements, and ROI through digital transformation initiatives.
