Sports Volunteer Process:
1. To volunteer with one of our sports teams in the district, you must first seek the approval
of the Athletic Director
2. Sports volunteers must apply through our website (www.seymourschools.org)
job posting #870 . An application must be completed and a letter of intent that
is signed and dated, a resume, and three letters of recommendation that are
signed, dated, and current, and a copy of the coaching certification must be
uploaded. The Athletic Director will then recommend the volunteer for the
volunteer position
3. Volunteer Athletic coaches must be approved the Seymour Board of Education,
and as the approval process takes time, it is important to apply well before
the season begins
4. When the volunteer is approved by the Board of Education, the volunteer must
contact Central Office to complete the necessary intake paperwork
5. When the paperwork is completed and returned to Central Office, the volunteer
may start working with our student athletes
Volunteers are required to go though the fingerprinting process.
There is no fingerprinting processing fee for volunteers.
