Purpose of Department:
The Department of Sciences and Mathematics is dedicated to providing a quality education in order to prepare students for their chosen careers or post-graduate studies. The Sciences and Mathematics Department offers degrees in Biology (BS or BA), Environmental Studies (BA), and Exercise and Sport Science (BS). The department also offers minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Studies.
Summary of Position:
William Peace University (WPU) continuously seeks to appoint scholars with expertise in the field of Exercise and Sport Science in the Department of Mathematics and Science. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and are reviewed as vacancies arise within the department.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Applicants are expected to have experience teaching this specific course, including experience with and the ability to use instructional technologies to support classroom activities. The Adjunct Instructor position supports the Exercise and Sport Science program and curricula
Minimum Qualifications:
โ€ข A Master's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology or closely related field (including but not limited to Exercise and Sport Science, Exercise Physiology, Physiology, or Rehabilitation Sciences)
โ€ข Hands-on experience with clinical exercise testing, a Parvo Medics metabolic cart, and other exercise physiological laboratory processes
Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข A Doctoral degree in Kinesiology or closely related field (including but not limited to Exercise and Sport Science, Exercise Physiology, Physiology, or Rehabilitation Sciences)
โ€ข Certification with ACSM, NSCA, or NASM
