Job description

We are looking for a Learning & Development Lead to help shape the next evolution of our Academy and strengthen the way we build capability across our organization. This role is ideal for a collaborative, business-minded learning professional who enjoys leading through influence, coordinating priorities, and bringing structure, innovation, and impact to learning initiatives.


Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Human Resources, the Learning & Development Lead will play a key role in coordinating the Academy's learning strategy, supporting leadership and capability development, guiding LMS governance, and partnering with HR, Operations, franchise leaders, and internal stakeholders to deliver learning solutions that support business priorities.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate the Academy's annual learning roadmap, priorities, deliverables, and governance activities.
  • Partner with HR, Operations, franchise leaders, and other stakeholders to identify learning needs and design practical development solutions.
  • Provide functional leadership and guidance to the Learning & Development team by aligning priorities, supporting workload planning, and promoting collaboration.
  • Lead and support LMS-related initiatives, including governance, reporting, learner experience, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the development and evolution of learning programs, including leadership development, franchise onboarding, operational learning, and digital learning solutions.
  • Use learning data, feedback, and performance indicators to measure impact and recommend improvements.
  • Support change management, communication, documentation, and knowledge transfer related to Academy initiatives.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in organizational development, Education, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Business Administration, or a related field. A background in Human Resources or Talent Development is considered an asset.
  • Approximately 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organizational Learning, or a related discipline.
  • Experience designing, coordinating, or implementing learning programs in a complex business environment.
  • Strong experience working with a Learning Management System and digital learning tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, coordinate multiple priorities, and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in retail, franchise, multi-site, or operations-focused environments is considered an asset.
