Job description

The Policy and Capabilities (PC) Team Lead will provide leadership, management, and oversight in support of the Sponsor's mission and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead administrator for all PC team activities.
  • Support the Sponsor by directing PC team efforts across multiple locations.
  • Act as the primary interface and point of contact for Sponsor program authorities and representatives regarding technical, operational, and project-related matters.
  • Provide regular briefings to PC leadership on program status, milestones, risks, and accomplishments.
  • Oversee PC team and project operations through the development of procedures, planning, and execution of contractual, technical, multidisciplinary engineering, programming, maintenance, and administrative support activities.
  • Monitor project performance and provide timely reporting on progress, issues, and outcomes.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the PC mission, objectives, and evolving requirements to ensure effective and responsive support.
  • Provide regular status updates and feedback to the Program Manager regarding work performed in support of the PC mission.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience as a Project Manager.
  • Experience developing decision-quality materials, including strategic papers, options analyses, and executive-level briefings, as well as managing executive action tracking.
  • Experience overseeing or guiding portfolio and program performance, resource planning, and acquisition/procurement strategies, including vendor management and enterprise licensing concepts.
  • Active security clearance required TS/SCI (level determined by contract requirements).
Desired Qualification
  • Experience translating mission priorities into actionable IT roadmaps, investment plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience with AI architecture patterns, including model hosting, vector search/retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), data pipelines, APIs, and orchestration frameworks.
  • Experience briefing senior leaders and leading cross-functional team delivery efforts.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least Eight (8) years of relevant professional experience.
