Job description

Splunk Consultant - Herndon, VA (Hybrid)
We're looking for a Splunk Consultant to help our client tackle complex data and log analysis challenges. In this hybrid role (1 day/week onsite in Herndon, VA), you'll assess customer needs, design solutions, and work hands-on with Splunk to deliver insights that matter - collaborating with everyone from IT administrators to executive stakeholders.
You'll bring a strong foundation in systems and network monitoring, comfort across Unix/Linux/Windows environments, and the self-motivation to work independently while staying closely connected with the broader team.
What you bring:
  • Active Secret clearance (required)
  • 5+ years of experience in data/log analysis, logging solutions, and system/network monitoring
  • Splunk Certified Level II Consultant
  • Experience with Cribl Logstream, Ansible, and CI/CD
  • Strong command-line comfort across Unix, Linux, or Windows
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities

Bonus points for Splunk Architect Certification, REGEX experience, familiarity with configuration management tools (Git, Puppet, Chef, SCCM, etc.), and background in network/systems security or data modeling.
