Job Title: Monitoring Analyst
Location: Sacramento, CA (Relocation Required)
Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking a Monitoring Analyst with 3+ years of IT experience to monitor production systems, review alerts, analyze system performance, and provide timely reporting to support business and operational decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and Tableau skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced production support environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor production systems and applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Review, investigate, and escalate system alerts and incidents as needed.
  • Analyze system health metrics and identify trends or potential issues.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Tableau.
  • Utilize SQL to extract, analyze, and validate data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues.
  • Prepare executive-level reports and summaries on system performance and operational health.
  • Participate in shift coverage, including evening, overnight, and weekend rotations as required.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of IT experience in Production Support, Monitoring, Operations, or a related role.
  • Strong experience with SQL for data analysis and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau dashboards and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a shift-based environment, including graveyard shifts.
  • Willingness to relocate to Sacramento, CA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Splunk for monitoring, alerting, and log analysis.
  • Knowledge of incident management and production support processes.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management tools.
