RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Splunk SME in Juno Beach, FL.
Responsibilities:
* Splunk SME will configure and maintain ingestion of monitoring events from ScienceLogic and related observability platforms into Splunk
* Implement client-defined data parsing, field extraction, normalization, and event enrichment requirements
* Develop operational dashboards and scorecards providing visibility into infrastructure health, availability, capacity, and performance
* Create reports and visualizations that support monitoring operations, service reviews, and operational decision-making
* Validate monitoring data quality, completeness, and event flow across integrated monitoring platforms
* As a Splunk SME, you will support integration testing and troubleshooting between ScienceLogic, Splunk, and ServiceNow
* Configure searches, alerts, and monitoring views required by infrastructure and operations teams
* Analyze monitoring trends and recurring alert patterns to support continuous improvement initiatives
* Assist in establishing observability metrics, KPI reporting, and monitoring adoption measurements
* Develop operational documentation, knowledge transfer materials, and support procedures for ongoing platform management
REQUIREMENTS:
Desired Skills:
* Splunk Enterprise administration and dashboard development
* Experience integrating monitoring platforms such as ScienceLogic, ServiceNow, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, or similar tools
* Experience with event parsing, field extractions, lookups, and data normalization
* Experience supporting observability and monitoring transformation initiatives
* Knowledge of VMware infrastructure and enterprise network monitoring environments
* Familiarity with operational reporting, KPI scorecards, and service health dashboards
* Strong understanding of infrastructure monitoring, event management, and observability concepts
* Strong troubleshooting and cross-platform integration skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
