Position Summary

Client is seeking a highly experienced Cloud SME to support a strategic Observability and Scorecard initiative focused on cloud infrastructure visibility, performance monitoring, operational analytics, and service health reporting. This role will primarily support AWS scorecard development and operations, while also providing expertise across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.

The ideal candidate will possess deep cloud engineering and operations experience, a strong understanding of observability frameworks, and expertise integrating cloud-native monitoring capabilities with enterprise observability platforms such as ScienceLogic, Splunk, ServiceNow ITOM, and other monitoring solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the cloud infrastructure SME supporting the enterprise Observability Program.
  • Lead AWS scorecard initiatives, including KPI definition, data collection, and operational reporting.
  • Support monitoring and observability requirements across AWS and GCP environments.
  • Design and implement cloud monitoring standards, dashboards, metrics, and service health indicators.
  • Partner with ScienceLogic, Splunk, ServiceNow ITOM, Database, and BI teams to establish end-to-end visibility across cloud services.
  • Develop and maintain cloud operational scorecards measuring:
    • Availability
    • Reliability
    • Performance
    • Capacity
    • Security posture
    • Operational compliance
  • Analyze cloud infrastructure health and proactively identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Support automated discovery, monitoring, and alerting capabilities within enterprise observability platforms.
  • Drive cloud governance and operational best practices.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution activities.
  • Document cloud architecture, monitoring standards, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of cloud infrastructure and operations experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience in enterprise environments.
  • 3+ years supporting Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services, including:

  • Experience implementing cloud observability and monitoring solutions.
