As of Jun 24, 2026, the average yearly pay for split fee recruiter in the United States is $76,653.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $56,000.00 and $97,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

How do Split Fee Recruiters typically build and maintain effective partnerships with other recruiters or agencies?

Split Fee Recruiters often collaborate with other recruiters or agencies to fill roles more efficiently by sharing job orders and candidate pools. Establishing trust and clear communication is key—partners need to agree on terms, candidate ownership, and fee splits from the outset. Regular updates, transparent candidate tracking, and prompt feedback help avoid misunderstandings and ensure a smooth process. Successful partnerships can expand a recruiter's reach and improve placement rates, but they require mutual professionalism and a proactive approach to relationship management.

What are split fee recruiters?

Split fee recruiters are professional recruiters who collaborate with other recruiters or recruiting firms to fill job openings. In a split fee arrangement, two recruiters—one representing the job candidate and the other representing the employer—work together, and if a placement is made, they share the recruitment fee according to a predetermined split (often 50/50). This approach expands access to job opportunities and candidates, increases the chances of successful placements, and helps recruiters fill roles more efficiently. Split fee recruiting is common in recruitment networks and can be beneficial for both parties involved.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Split Fee Recruiter, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Split Fee Recruiter, you need strong networking abilities, solid recruitment knowledge, and experience in candidate sourcing, often supported by a background in human resources or recruiting. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM platforms, and online sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter is typically required. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills help you collaborate effectively with partners and clients. These skills are crucial for successfully matching candidates to roles and maximizing placements in a commission-driven, partnership-based environment.

Job description

Job Description Fellowship-Trained Mohs Surgeon / Dermatologist Job in Birmingham, Alabama Job-8357 If you're a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon who wants a full schedule, real support and a practice that genuinely values how you work-not just how much you produce-here's your ticket. This is a medically focused private dermatology practice with a strong reputation and an even stronger internal culture. Growth has created room for another Mohs surgeon, and you'd be stepping into a role that's already busy, organized and well-supported from day one.

Here's what your day-to-day could look like: A four-day workweek with no weekends and minimal call, giving you real breathing room outside of clinic A high-volume, established Mohs program (800-1,000 cases annually), with 8-15 Mohs cases per day and the option to split your week between Mohs (2-3 days) and general / surgical dermatology A ready-made patient base-you'll walk in busy, seeing 30-45 general derm patients per day without needing to "build" anything from scratch Excellent clinical support, including two dedicated MAs who scribe and prep for you, plus EMR and the option to supervise APPs for additional income Strong compensation and benefits, featuring a guaranteed base plus a generous percentage of collections, health coverage, PTO, CME, 401(k), profit sharing and more Cosmetics are available if you enjoy them, but they're never expected. What is expected is good medicine, teamwork and respect-for patients and for each other. Birmingham offers a surprisingly vibrant lifestyle, with great food, culture and easy access to the outdoors, all paired with a lower cost of living that makes work-life balance actually achievable.

If you want a Mohs role where you're busy, supported and treated like a valued part of the team-not just a producer-this is worth a closer look. Interested in learning more. Apply online or email your confidential CV to Terry@myDermRecruiter.com for immediate consideration
