Water Quality Technician

Rate: $14 USD per hour

Location: OWA Parks & Resort Foley, AL, USA

Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining the equipment of the fountains and splash pad attractions on property
  • Responsible for the testing, correcting and documentation of chemical readings. Includes the balancing of chlorine, pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness levels
  • Responsible for the cleaning aspects of the fountains and splash pad attractions. Including, but not limited to, vacuuming, skimming, brushing, cleaning of tiles and pressure washing
  • Will assist the Aquatics Maintenance department with assembly and disassembly of equipment for annual inspections and verifying quality control
  • Will be responsible for logging completion of inspections, chemical logs, and/or repairs made and listing applicable parts used
  • Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all safety regulations
  • Performing housekeeping tasks to keep the workplace clean and to maintain company standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Pool management / maintenance experience (pumps, chemicals, lighting, etc.) preferred
  • CPO certification preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including crawling and working in confined spaces and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, kneel, squat, stoop and twist. Must possess the physical dexterity to operate hand tools and motor vehicles
  • Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to work in sunny, hot, humid, cold, and rainy conditions
  • Willing to work in a smoke, tobacco, and drug free workplace
