  • Make an Impact! Are you looking for a career that allows you to utilize your spiritual gifts to assist those in need? If so, then we invite you to consider applying for a position as a Spiritual Care Associate. As an integral member of the hospital interdisciplinary team, you will carry out duties and activities of the spiritual care program in compliance with the philosophy and policies of the hospital. This position focuses on the spiritual needs of patients, families, caregivers and staff, including volunteers; and provides on-call support on weekends and in the absence of the hospital chaplain. You will facilitate visits by representatives of clergy, religious, and laity from recognized Religious Bodies who visit persons of their Faith Group as requested.
  • Get Involved! You will coordinate specialized religious needs of patients as liaison with community clergy and will participate in regularly scheduled planning and management meetings with Spiritual Care Team. Teaming up with Hospital colleagues, you will be recognized as and deemed the official participant of the Interdisciplinary Health Care Team of the Hospital.

Position: Spiritual Care Associate
Shift:  Weekend (Friday and/or Saturday) call hours are 6:00 pm - 9:00 am (3 nights per month), with occasional weeknight (6:00 pm - 7:00 am) coverage and day shift work as available. Pager covered from offsite to come onsite when needed - must live within 30 minutes of Paoli Hospital
Experience: 
Minimum six months experience in hospital environment - preferably as Spiritual Care Provider.
Education: 
1. Masters Degree in Theological Studies preferred. 
2. One (1) Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at an accredited CPE center, completed or in process.
Licensures/Certifications: 
Ecclesiastical endorsement for pastoral ministry from faith group.
