Spectrum Sales Representative

A successful Spectrum Sales Rep or Account Manager is responsible for achieving revenue and margin goals by successfully acquiring quoted projects and managing client expectations. While supporting the Spectrum mission to deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sale and execution of projects involving Spectrum Services. This individual will be tasked to identify and coordinate Spectrum Service solutions that can achieve or resolve a client’s environmental, operational, financial and people goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Functions Include:
  • Prospects to locate and develop relationships with new clients.
  • Maintains and cultivates existing client relationships
  • Develops general working knowledge of all Spectrum services.
  • Utilizes account management processes for target customers.
  • Develops and implements specific action plans that improve project closure rate and produce profitable business.
  • Develops necessary estimates as required.
  • Converts leads into opportunities.
  • Develops opportunities through networking and professional organizations.
  • Leads or supports, depending on the opportunity, coordinated sales efforts involving Spectum and Clients that sub-contract Spectrum services. Works effectively in a team selling environment.
  • Develops customer relationships at various level of customer organization.
  • Collects and communicates to operations the pertinent project information required to successfully complete projects.
  • Coordinates and attends site reviews as required.
  • Must be committed to operating within the Spectrum Safety protocols.
  • Confirms project scope with customers.
  • Assist with the collection of Accounts Receivable as needed.
  • Determines recommended selling strategy and initial pricing.
  • Presents the proposal, negotiates price and contract terms/conditions with customers.
  • Follows up with buying influencers to secure orders.
  • Coordinates or engages in the project execution process as required.
  • Resolves deviations in scope with the client to preserve client experience and satisfaction.
  • Consistently ascertains customer needs and current market opportunities.
  • Develops positive relationships with Spectrum clients, leadership and employees.

Other functions may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires a Bachelor's of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree in a technical or business related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • · Five years of experience in HVAC Sales or related technical field.
  • Well-developed sales skills.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to meet competing deadlines.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer relation and presentation skills.
  • · Must have basic PC experience in Windows environment, working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook),
  • · Ability to travel as required to secure work, overnight travel is not typical.
  • · Ability to function independently and deliver results.
