Job Summary

Syncell is seeking a Senior Field Applications Scientist to serve as the technical expert and trusted partner for customers using the Microscoop® spatial proteomics platform. This role bridges the gap between sales, applications, and customer success by supporting customers throughout the entire journey, from pre-sales demonstrations and experimental design to onboarding, training, and ongoing scientific support. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in proteomics, microscopy, spatial biology, and mass spectrometry, along with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Become a technical expert on the Syncell Microscoop® platform, including instrumentation, software, sample preparation, and data workflows.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and scientific seminars for prospective and existing customers.
  • Partner with the sales team to support opportunity qualification, pre-sales activities, and territory growth.
  • Onboard and train new customers to ensure successful implementation and adoption of the platform.
  • Provide scientific guidance on experimental design, tissue-based workflows, and data analysis.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues and collaborate with internal support and R&D teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and serve as their primary scientific resource.
  • Gather customer feedback and communicate insights to internal teams to support product improvements.
  • Identify and engage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the scientific community.
  • Support territory business development strategies alongside the commercial team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, technical support activities, and project updates.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Life Sciences required; PhD preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience in proteomics, microscopy, mass spectrometry, or related fields.
  • Commercial experience as a Field Applications Scientist or similar customer-facing scientific role.
  • Strong knowledge of tissue-based workflows, spatial biology, proteomics, and mass spectrometry.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and provide exceptional scientific support.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience supporting advanced research instrumentation or life science technologies.
  • Additional language proficiency.
  • Experience working with spatial biology, multi-omics, or advanced imaging technologies.
