Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring DAS Technician in Lebanon, IN. The DAS Technician is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Distributed Antenna Systems and related wireless infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in RF systems, fiber optics, and structured cabling to ensure reliable cellular and public safety coverage within commercial or industrial environments.

Pay: $25 to $30 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure DAS wireless equipment including antennas, repeaters, and head-end components.
  • Pull, route, and secure coaxial, fiber optic, and CAT 5/6 cabling according to NEC standards.
  • Perform cable sweep testing including VSWR, Return Loss, and Distance-to-Fault analysis.
  • Utilize spectrum analyzers and signal generators to optimize signal strength and system performance.
  • Conduct PIM (Passive Intermodulation) and fiber optic testing to verify installation quality.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware or configuration failures in existing wireless systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate system placement.
  • Maintain precise documentation of all testing results, maintenance activities, and system changes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in telecommunications, RF systems, or structured cabling installation.
  • Proficiency in terminating and testing fiber optic and coaxial cables.
  • Familiarity with DAS components from manufacturers such as CommScope, Corning, or ADRF.
  • Ability to operate specialized testing equipment like Anritsu or Keysight spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with project managers and clients.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at heights, off ladders, and in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to see and distinguish different colors for cable identification and labeling.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the work day.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate precision hand tools and testing devices.
  • Must be able to recognize and respond to audible signals and equipment alerts.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $25 to $30 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
