Job description

Bon Secours Lourdes Hospital is expanding its Interventional Cardiology locum coverage pool beginning January/February 2026 and is seeking Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologists with 3 7 days per month of ongoing availability. This is an excellent opportunity to join a strong, well-supported team in a regional referral center serving communities across western Kentucky and surrounding states.

Assignment Highlights
  • Schedule: 3 7 days per month (ongoing)

  • Setting: Inpatient only, STEMI/EMTALA call

  • No clinic or ambulatory work

  • Team Structure: Two full-time Interventional Cardiologists on staff, with another Interventionalist present during locum coverage

  • Patient Population: Adults

  • EMR: Epic (Cupid)

Core Interventional Procedures
  • Balloon Angioplasty

  • Coronary Angioplasty

  • PCI Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

  • Heart Catheterization

  • Coronary Angiograms

General Cardiology Responsibilities
  • Respond to all cardiology calls for the hospital

  • General Cardiology consults as needed

  • Read EKGs, ECHOs, and Stress Tests (including nuclear stress)


Requirements
  • Board Certified Required

  • Active KY license & DEA Required

    • IMLC candidates considered with consistent 3 7 days/month availability

  • ACLS Required

  • COVID Vaccination Preferred
