Job description

Analyze Pathology is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Specimen Accessioner to join our growing laboratory team in Deerfield Beach, FL.
This position is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong data entry skills, and are committed to maintaining accuracy while handling patient specimens. 
Previous laboratory processing experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, sort, and accession patient specimens
  • Enter patient demographic and testing information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
  • Verify specimen integrity and review requisition forms for completeness and accuracy
  • Identify and resolve specimen discrepancies according to laboratory procedures
  • Perform specimen preparation, including centrifuging, freezing, aliquoting, and other special processing as required
  • Label specimens accurately and prepare samples for testing
  • Package and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities
  • Maintain an organized and efficient work area
  • Meet daily productivity and quality standards
Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of laboratory processing or specimen accessioning experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
