## GMNA Order Fulfillment Sales Planner / VOM Specification Writer / Order ManagerApplyremote type: Hybridlocations: Warren, Michigan, United States of Americatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR-202616265**Job Description**## The RoleThe Sales Planner / Vehicle Order Management (VOM) Specification Writer / Order Manager ensures accurate vehicle specification tables and smooth order flow for new model years and Manufacturing Validation Builds (MVB). You will own key elements of the weekly Dealer Order Submission Process (DOSP) and partner across the enterprise to keep orders clean, constraints optimized and launches on track.## What You’ll Do### VOM Specifications and Launch Readiness* Build and maintain VOM specification tables that are VDS-compatible and aligned with approved marketing intent.* Execute specification changes through the formal Spec Change process, aligned with Blockpoint timing and cross-functional needs.* Own the Startup Program Management Calendar to provide clear visibility to startup / launch milestones and track execution to due dates.* Represent VOM / Order Fulfillment in cross-functional Vertical and Launch Team meetings, sharing data, insights, and recommendations.### Order Quality, Constraints, and Allocation* Create and maintain pattern orders for Retail and Company Vehicle Operations (CVO) to support clean order flow and capacity utilization.* Support analysis and calculation of weekly and longer-term constraints; validate assumptions with stakeholders and help optimize usage.* Load allocation quantities and constraints and monitor funding as part of the weekly DOSP process.* Monitor and resolve Production Order Management System (POMS) hard and soft rejects each week, driving root-cause fixes and preventing recurrence.### Collaboration, Improvement, and Leadership* Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, Launch, and other Order Fulfillment teams to resolve specification, constraint, allocation, and order issues.* Mentor new team members, share best practices, and help build a strong, high-performing team culture.* Provide clear feedback and requirements for new or updated systems and processes impacting VOM, POMS, DOSP, and launch readiness.* Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new or enhanced systems to ensure they meet business needs.## ## Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)* Bachelor’s degree.* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.* Experience working with complex systems and datasets; familiarity with order management or production planning is a plus.* Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across functions.* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.* Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to explain complex topics clearly and succinctly.* Proven ability to organize, plan, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.* Self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable working through obstacles to achieve stretch objectives.## What an Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications)* Product knowledge of GM vehicle lines.* Knowledge of GM VOM and POMS systems.* Experience with GM Logical Language and VDS.* Field Sales and/or Marketing experience.* Broad understanding of enterprise operations and how Order Fulfillment impacts downstream functions.* Demonstrated operational agility, adaptability, and leadership.### Who You Are – Demonstrating GM Behaviors* You put customers and dealers at the center of your decisions, ensuring clean, salable orders and on-time launches.* You build inclusive, trusting relationships across functions and locations, acting as one team.* You innovate now by continuously improving spec tables, pattern orders, and processes to simplify work and reduce defects.* You are bold in surfacing issues early, using data to influence decisions and propose better ways of working.* You take ownership (“it starts with me”) for your area, following through on commitments and driving closure with cross-functional partners.#LI-LK1GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
