Position Summary

Specialized Trust Company is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Investment Specialist to join our Operations team. This role is essential to ensuring the accurate and timely processing of client investments, distributions, transfers, and account transactions within self-directed retirement accounts.

The ideal candidate thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong attention to detail, accountability, and a commitment to service excellence. This position plays a vital role in supporting client investment activity while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do

As an Investment Specialist, you will support the lifecycle of client transactions and investments by:

  • Processing client investment requests accurately and efficiently
  • Preparing investment documentation for execution by authorized corporate signers
  • Coordinating document preparation for notarization
  • Processing bill pay requests, distributions, and transfer-out transactions
  • Ensuring all actions and completed transactions are properly documented in client records
  • Assigning follow-up tasks to Client Service Representatives to obtain missing or corrected documentation
  • Partnering with investment sponsors to facilitate accurate and timely completion of investments
  • Reviewing and escalating special or complex circumstances to management when necessary
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service, accuracy, and compliance
  • Monitoring and supporting daily productivity goals, case management, and service level targets
  • Taking full ownership of escalated issues, ensuring proper follow-through and resolution
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting additional operational tasks and projects as assigned
