Job description

Position Summary:
A Signal Special Events Security Officer will conduct and ensure security of all guests and access points for the Special Events location. All duties listed below are minimum requirements - additional duties listed in the site's Post Orders are requirements as well.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure fans safety and security by conducting careful entry screening and inspections. This will include the tactful messaging of prohibited items or non-compliant bags that cannot be allowed into the stadium.
  • Conduct pat downs as needed to ensure there are no prohibited items entering the stadium.
  • Will conduct and deliver various dedicated services that reflect the company's values, expectations, and consistent service in alignment with site specific instructions/post orders.
  • Assist guests with any special requests including ADA questions or accommodations.
  • You must commit to safety by monitoring crowd activities and report any suspicious activity and/or behavior to your area supervisor.
  • Appropriately identify and escalate security concerns to your supervisor or nearest Law Enforcement Officer as needed.
  • Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  • Will write detailed and accurate reports utilizing company technology and web or app-based software during each shift that align with site instruction/post orders.
  • The Ability to consistently arrive on time for shifts, clock in and out, meet time commitments, follow instruction, follow dress code and appearance standards and expectations
  • Interacting with internal and external customers on site cultivating a customer service relationship while striving to provide peace of mind.
  • Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys/cards, vehicles, and devices, etc.

  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people in an exciting environment
  • Ability to take direction and demonstrate flexibility with shifting priorities on event day
  • Ability to work full stadium events to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Some positions may require the repeated climbing of stairs
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

Work Environment
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud/very loud on event days
  • This position may require work in inclement weather to include heat, cold, rain, snow

Requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Pass background check and drug test
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Complete training modules within first month
  • Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times
  • Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
