Job description

Security Officer – Crisis Center
Location: Littleton, Colorado
Company: Iron Peak Security
Pay: $22.00 per hour

Iron Peak Security is currently seeking two professional Security Officers to join our team at a Crisis Center located in Littleton, Colorado. This is a unique opportunity for security professionals who are committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment while utilizing strong communication and de-escalation skills.

Available Shifts

Position 1

  • Tuesday – Saturday
  • 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Position 2

  • Monday – Thursday
  • 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, clients, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the property.
  • Monitor and document activity throughout the shift.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies.
  • Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts whenever possible.
  • Work closely with facility staff to ensure a secure and professional atmosphere.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity reports.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of security experience.
  • Strong verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Comfortable with hands-on interventions when necessary and in accordance with training and company policy.
  • Must be willing to receive an annual flu vaccination.
  • Must complete a Tuberculosis (TB) test prior to assignment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass all required background screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Military experience.
  • Law enforcement experience.
  • Behavioral health or mental health facility experience.
  • Crisis intervention training or experience.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations.
