Job description
Special Event Security Officers (Unarmed) Orlando, I Drive Area
United States Security Services Inc., (FL License No. B 2700195) offers many opportunities for career development & progression. We are security professionals with hospitality focused training. Our security team thrives on providing exceptional customer service, by maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests & fellow facility personnel. We watch over life & property, perform general crowd & access control duties. The position consists of 70% customer service and 30% security. We monitor entrances/exits, freight loading docks & doors and rove assigned areas within our worksite locations. Duties include but are not limited to; compliance with specific post instructions, credential checking, roving foot patrols to monitoring specific areas & other duties that may be required by Management.
Post orders may also include Ticket Taking, Ushering, Guest Services, Special Services, Screening, Bag Checking and Asset Protection.
Successful candidates must:
- Have a current Class D Security License or Valid Temp Card (Blue)
- Be 18 years or older
- Have completed a High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication skills, (clear and effective oral & written skills)
- Professional presentation, appearance reflecting customer service skills
- Authorization to work in the US if applicable.
- Pass a criminal background check/random drug test
- Adhere to assigned schedules and be punctual
- Be able to climb stairs, stand and or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to react appropriately in emergency situations
- Have the skills in operating radios for communications.
- Observes, logs and reports unusual, dangerous or illegal activities, incidents or unauthorized individuals at an assigned site.
- Act to enforce client & facility regulations and directives for the site pertaining to exhibitors, guests, organizers personnel, visitors, and premises.
- As assigned, may Rove on foot patrols for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances/exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
