  FLSA: Non-Exempt   Temporary/Continuing:  Continuing   Part-Time/Full-Time: Full-Time   Union Group: N/A   Term of Position: 12 Month   At Will/Just Cause: Just Cause   Summary of Position: Coordinate oversight of event/game operations for athletics regular season, post-season, and special events. Serve as primary contact for athletics with University's physical plant operation for athletic projects and facility maintenance issues and assist in the coordinator of all athletic facility scheduling. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F1 EAD's, OPT, H1B, etc.   Position Type: Staff   Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or working on bachelors degree and 2 years experience with game operations or event management.   Required Work Experience: Two years of athletic event and facility management experience. Job requires excellent organizational & communication skills (both written and oral), revenue generation experience, the ability to effectively manage staff in event operations and facilities management settings and provide solid customer service to diverse constituents and user groups. Must be proactive and able to work collaboratively with multiple user groups demonstrating confidence and knowledge of how events and facilities operate.   Required Licenses and Certifications:     Physical Demands:

  Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered:     Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide oversight of event/game management responsibilities in concert with the Manager of Athletic Facilities and Athletic Camp Coordinator.


Serve as department's primary liaison with campus & community partners for special events & special projects.


Assist Manager for Athletic Facilities on all Physical Plant & IT work orders and project coordination.


Responsible for oversight of facility scheduling of non-ice facilities and creating and maintaining a positive environment between all on and off campus user groups.


Provide scheduling and revenue producing oversight in billing and accounts receivables where all non-ice athletic facility rental income is concerned.


Serve as athletic department liaison to NCAA, GLIAC, WCHA, MHSAA and outside groups for all special event bids and hosting opportunities.


Develop, supervise, and implement internship program for operations & facilities.


Serve as the facility scheduling liaison to Athletic Camp Coordinator for Sports Camps.


Provide statistical analyses and prepare reports.


Additional duties and/or special projects as assigned by Athletic Director and Manager of Athletic Facilities.


Operates a university or personal vehicle safely while carrying out job responsibilities. Will authorize, pursuant to university policies and procedures, a driving record check, and will meet the driving authorization requirements through the course of employment in a position where you are authorized to drive a vehicle as part of our duties.


Carries out responsibilities in accordance with university policies and applicable laws.


Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty, and staff to thrive authentically.


Support, promote, and develop University student enrollment and retention initiatives.


Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
