Position Title: Event Staff
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Retirement: 401k
FT or PT: Part-Time Seasonal
Position Reports To: Guest Services Manager/Event Coordinator/ Entertainment
Position Purpose: Event Staff is an integral position to the quality and success of the Strasburg Rail Road featured events and special offerings. Event Staff serve the company and its guests by fulfilling a variety of roles and executing different tasks that provide logistical support, ensure safety, and direct, assist, and entertain guests.
Essential Duties
Assist with event setup and teardown, including but not limited to the setup and teardown of tables, chairs, tent flooring, staging, display fixtures, games and activities, food service stations and more.


Direct traffic and/or the parking of vehicles.
Greet guests as they enter the event and respective activities.
Monitor and/or administer various activities.


Support and assist "characters" (e.g. Easter Bunny, Sir Topham Hatt, Santa Claus).
Provide guest assistance as needed


Address guest concern in a friendly and courteous manner.
Answer questions and accurately disseminate event information.
Protect roadway or railroad crossings and ensure guest safety.


Smile.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Strong work ethic and positive attitude.


Proven customer service skills preferred.
Punctuality.
Working Conditions
Part-time hours revolve primarily around an established event schedule.


Events are rain or shine. Working out in all weather conditions.
Requires frequent standing and/or walking for long periods of time.
