Make a difference supporting 5th and 6th graders as a Special Education Math Teacher in an inclusion setting. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience supporting grades 5-6 preferred
- Strong math content knowledge tailored for upper elementary and middle school students
- Familiarity with inclusion models and collaboration with general education teachers
- Skilled in delivering 1:1 targeted instruction, differentiating for a range of learning needs
- Compassionate, dependable, and excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class, pull-in special education math instruction to identified students
- Collaborate with general education teachers to design and implement effective strategies
- Adjust curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Engage in progress monitoring, documentation, and reporting on student development
- Foster a welcoming and positive learning environment for all students
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student progress
