Job description

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cape Cod (SRHCC) is a 60-bed inpatient rehab facility in Sandwich, MA, and part of the Spaulding Rehabilitation and Mass General Brigham system. We provide interdisciplinary care for patients recovering from stroke, orthopedic surgery, trauma, amputation, and medically complex conditions.

Position Summary

Spaulding Cape Cod and it's Spaulding Rehabilitation Associates of the Massachusetts General Physician Organization is seeking a Board-Certified Physiatrist (PM&R) to join our inpatient team in a full-time, community-based role (no academic or research obligations). The physiatrist will serve as the attending and/or consultant for 12-16 patients, managing both medical and rehabilitation needs alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

    • Daily rounding, admission H&Ps, progress notes, discharge summaries
    • Rehab-specific documentation: Physician Rehab Assessments, IPOCs, Interdisciplinary Team Conferences (ITCs)
    • Average 1 admission/day (max 2)
    • Respond to RRTs and codes as needed
    • Participate in staff meetings and call rotation, including weekends (typically 1:8)
    • Engage in hospital or division activities as assigned
    • Monday-Friday, approx. 8:30 AM-5:30 PM

Qualifications

    • MD/DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R
    • Eligible for MA licensure
    • Inpatient rehab experience preferred
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
