Job description

At Rocket Farm Restaurants, the core philosophy that defines our culture is "We serve the person who is serving the guest." Our culture is not something we act out on the floor of the restaurant. It starts with how we treat and serve one another in the kitchen - with dignity, respect, and care. We believe there should be no difference in how we treat and serve one another in the kitchen and how we treat and serve our guests in the dining room. We hope you agree and will consider joining us!
Inspired by Parisian bistros and old Brooklyn neighborhood taverns, Little Sparrow was named for Edith Piaf, a celebrated singer and lover of boxer Marcel Cerdan (for whom our neighboring Marcel is named). Approachable with high-level service and attention to detail, Little Sparrow restaurant is classic and free from pretense, yet polished - a place to indulge in a refined dining experience or just grab a perfect medium-rare burger and fries.
Little Sparrow is hiring a Host/ess to join our hospitable team!
The Host/ess at Little Sparrow gives guests their first dose of high-level hospitality upon entering the restaurant. He/she should boast a positive demeanor and naturally curious personality with an ability to work cohesively with the rest of the team. The Host/ess should also be able to take cues from guests' behavior to ensure an extraordinary experience. Knowledge of OpenTable and related food and beverage experience preferred. Apply today and become part of a dynamic, innovative, and heartfelt group of unique individuals!
Competitive pay - $14 to $24/hr. - based on experience and ability.
As a valued member of our team, you will receive:
A supportive culture and ethical work environment
Dynamic performance-based raises and promotions
Time off on most major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Dining discounts at all Rocket Farm Restaurants - Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, Raleigh, and Winter Park
Rocket Farm University: specialized leadership classes and personalized support for career advancement
Employee-led Mentorship programs, Advisory Council and Safety Committee
Additional benefits after 1-year of employment:
  • Paid Time Off, Childbirth Recovery Leave and Parental Leave to support a healthy work-life balance
  • Major Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
