Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Expectation of this position is that candidate will be trained and rotate three positions: Third Helper, Fourth Hand and Roll Finisher. Pay is increased once certified in each position. Work Schedule: Rotating shifts (midnights, days, and evenings).
Third Helper: Operate fork truck and clamp truck, retrieve stock and supplies, prepare and weigh pulp, prepare and load pulper, computer knowledge, monitor contaminants and determine pulp and filler supply needs.
Fourth Hand: Prepare rolls for shipping, inspect paper, splice as needed thread machine and winder, operate roll shuttle, core cutter; slab baler, winder, forklift and computer.
Roll Finisher Job Duties: Wrap and label rolls from machine. Prepare rolls for shipment by assuring they are wrapped, labeled and entered into the computer system. Transport rolls to finished goods warehouse.
Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum requirements:

    • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Able to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
    • Basic computer skills, including ability to enter data accurately.
    • Capable of learning computer systems as needed.

  • Preferred requirements:

    • Must possess strong attention to detail and have good problem-solving abilities.
    • Capable of being qualified to safely operate/drive a lift truck.

Salary: The targeted starting pay for this position is $22.47 per hour.
